Sleeping Monkey

Just launching another round of my brush painting series, specially in 2014 Winter.
This time the topic of my brush painting is different than what I used to paint, it's a sleeping monkey on a tree.

About Porcelain Painting

Porcelain/China paints or overglaze colors are powder paints composed of minerals and oxides ground in an oil base. Another oil medium is used as the vehicle to apply the paint with a brush to the slick glazed surface of white china. The paint is fired at the approximate temperature of 1200F, depending upon the color used, so they adhere to the glaze of the porcelain, this then becomes permanent. The number of firings depens on the painter and the technique used, but can usually be finished in three firings. Porcelain art encompasses all the techniques of watercolors and oils. The topics painted include still life, flowers, scenes, portraits and anything else your imagination can create.
